Dee Ann Barney peacefully passed away in her home November 18, 2023 from breast cancer while surrounded by her children, siblings, and parents. She is survived by the love of her life, Brandon Ephraim Barney, her children, Samantha 15, Lynn 13, and Everen 10. She is also survived by her parents Michal Jay and Kennie Sue Hansen and her siblings, Tish (John) Lambert, Jay (Kayla) Hansen, Micah (Ammon) Slack, Joan Smith (John Waters), and Charity Hansen along with her 10 living nieces and nephews.
She was born to Michal and Kennie Hansen, June 27, 1986 in Bountiful, Utah. She grew up in Yuma, Arizona. As a sister she was known as Mommy Dee. She was very loving and nurturing towards her siblings. She moved to Utah in November of 2017 where she met the love of her life and married him August 13, 2021 in Provo City temple.
Professionally, she was an elementary school teacher. Following that, she worked as an LCSW where she helped and supported many clients. Her hobbies included gardening, coloring, and doing puzzles.
She was a strong believer in her Savior Jesus Christ. She had a great understanding of God's plan for her. She had faith in his plan, hope in the Savior's tender mercies, and charity for her fellow man. She had a true belief in the power of prayer and that everything she went through was part of God's plan and would be for her own benefit. She was known as having a kind and warm spirit.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday ,November 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clearfield 1st Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 935 State Street.
Friends may visit with family Friday, November 24, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
