It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Dee Feiertag, the beloved wife of Ted Feiertag, mother of 3 adult children, and 4 granddaughters. Born on July 6, 1937, in Meridian, Mississippi, Dee was a beacon of resilience and strength, living a life that touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dee was an intelligent woman with incredible wisdom, known for her feisty spirit and loyal devotion to those she loved. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed crossword puzzles, singing her heart out to Christian hymns or other music she grew up with (like Hank Williams), and thrifting for "treasures". Along with spending precious time with her family, she was happiest when she was with Ted, exploring new bookstores together and walking on the beach looking for agates.
As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Dee's warm and inviting spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Dee was the cherished daughter of Henry and Mary Reid, both of whom preceded her in death. She moved from her birthplace in Meridian, Mississippi, to Seattle where she worked at Boeing and raised her 3 children. Persevering through life's challenges, she began a new chapter when she found her soulmate, Ted. They shared over 30 years of loving, dedicated, and sacrificial love for each other in their marriage. She will be greatly missed by her family until they are reunited in heaven!
In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Dee's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of all those she left behind. We encourage all those who knew and loved Dee to share their memories, stories, and photographs on her memorial page. It is through these shared experiences that we can ensure the essence of Dee's life story continues to inspire and guide us, and love.
