Gil Feiertag

With boundless love, respect, and fond memories, we celebrate the life of Gil Feiertag, who was born on November 25, 1943, in Newark, NJ, and resided in Columbus, Ohio. Gil was a beacon of wisdom, warmth, and unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and students. An accomplished Associate Professor, he dedicated 30 years of his life to shaping minds and molding futures at Columbus State Community College, Columbus, Ohio. A baseball enthusiast, Gil's rich hobby included collecting signatures of baseball players, which he cherished as symbols of determination, skill, and the joy of the game.

Gil was an active member of Charity Newsies, embodying the spirit of giving and kindness that the organization stands for. He was a man who believed in the power of education and the importance of charitable endeavors. His life was a testament to these values. More than his professional accomplishments, Gil treasured his family above all else. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, an enduring testament to his character.

Gil is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Judy Danchik Feiertag; his loving children, Jeff Feiertag and his wife, Meritt, and Amy Dubin and her husband, Corey. His legacy also lives on in his beloved grandchildren, Josh and Emily Dubin, Julienne and Kaiya Feiertag, and Walker and Cameron Tollefson. Gil was preceded in death by his parents, Lou and Anne Feiertag.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 23, 2026 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, (Zoom Link below) 3232 E Main Street, Columbus with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens - Temple Israel Section.
