Henrietta D. "Dee" Guttau, age 80, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital on January 27, 2026.
She was born September 22, 1945, to the late Theodore and Audrey (Schenk) Robinson in Council Bluffs, IA. Dee graduated from Griswold High School with the class of 1963 and then attended the Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing, finishing in 1966. She retired from the hospital after 42 years of service. Dee was a member of Living Hope Community Church, the Optimist Club of Treynor, Master Gardner of West Pottawattamie County, and a Mops Mentor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Nelson.
Dee is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gary Guttau; daughter and son-in-law, Lyse & John McKenna; son, Chad Guttau; siblings, Ted Robinson (Alemar) and Chris Akers (Gayle); grandsons, Chase Wells and Owen Wells; siblings-in-law, Mick & Judy Guttau and Darsie & Marlyn Eitmann; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Living Hope Community Church on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Memorials are suggested to Living Hope Community Church or Treynor Fire and Rescue.
