Dee Ann Rose Lowry, age 66, Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin following a hard-fought battle with cancer. DeeAnn was born March 29, 1959 in Carthage, Missouri.
Growing up in the Avilla area, Dee Ann was raised by her grandparents Elton and Juanita Chrisman and her mother Rose Chrisman. Dee Ann graduated from Carthage High School. Shortly after high school she started her family raising 3 sons and one daughter. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In 1993, Dee Ann started her career as a Mortgage Lender when she started working for Advantage One. Eventually, Dee Ann moved to Southwest Missouri Bank for the past several years, working as a Vice President in the lending department.
Dee Ann was active in the community, holding many board member positions. Some of those include Angels Guild for Joplin Little Theater, Joplin Historical Society and Joplin Trades Scholarship Foundation. She was a long-time member of Joplin Elks Lodge and the Lady Elks.
Dee Ann married Randy Lee Lowry on February 11, 1999 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he survives of the home. Additionally, Dee Ann is survived by a daughter, Hailey Tracy (Tim) of Joplin; sons, John Goodwin (Amber) of Bessemer, Alabama, Eric Lowry (Carolyn) of Carl Junction and Daniel Goodwin (Leslee) of Jasper; mother, Rose Vincent of Carl Junction; sisters, Rita Barrett of Joplin and Rhonda Kache (Ashok) of Tulsa; nine very cherished grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends she has come to love throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her dad Larry Vincent.
Funeral services are planned for Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at Kenney Cemetery near Granby. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
