Dee Mardell Swain passed away October 6, 2024 age 78. Dee was born October 29, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dee loved his huge family and even if you weren’t blood you were blood to him. You always left a spot in his heart no matter what. Dee was proceeded in death by, his Mom and dad (Maylee and Darreld), his sister (Valene), and daughter (Christine). Dee was survived by his sister (Cleon) his children (Von, Angela, Lyle, Jeremy, Josh, Jon, Zack, Hallie, Alex, and Matthew), and his huge bunch of grandkids. Dee will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Dee took the same path as his dad and ran restaurants with him, his first restaurant he owned was an all time favorite. It started out in La Point, Utah, he ran it with his son. Stockman’s was the name. Later moved to Vernal, Utah that was in the hotel, coming into town. Two of his sons followed his footsteps and took over Stockman’s for him and opened Swain Brother’s Restaurant in Vernal, Utah as well. We will be doing a public celebration of his life June 20, 2025, at Charlie’s Park, at 4PM.
