Deeann Empie Obituary
Born September 20, 1966, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene P. and Catherine M. Watkinson Dorff. On December 9, 2006 she married David C. Empie, who survives.
She is survived by her husband David C. Empie of State College; a brother, Eugene J. Dorff and his wife Kathy of Charlotte, NC; and nephews, Connor and Christian Dorff.
Deeann graduated from West Glenbard High School, Glen Ellyn, IL in 1985. She returned to Pennsylvania where she attended Harrisburg Area Community College and Mt. Aloysius College studying pharmacy technology.
Deeann was employed as a pharmacy tech by Rite Aid and Weis Markets where she assisted pharmacists and customers with their prescriptions.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 10am – 12pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA.
Funeral service will follow at 12pm with Pastor Greg Shipe officiating.
Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery following the funeral service.
Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College. Online condolences may be entered at www.kochfuneralhome.com.
