Jeanette Morrison Obituary

Jeanette Mae Morrison

November 5, 1937 - January 13, 2026

Boalsburg, Pennsylvania - Jeanette Mae Morrison, a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love, was called home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on November 5, 1937, in Wellsville, Pennsylvania, the eldest child of Charles and Rosie Hughes, she departed this earthly realm in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, after a valiant journey with Alzheimer's disease.

Married on June 20, 1959, Jeanette was the cherished wife of the late Donald Morrison. Together, they built a legacy of love and dedication that continued through their children: Gregory Morrison, Bradley Morrison and his wife Maysonya, and Kerry Confer with her husband Corey. Jeanette's siblings, Gloria Hoffmeier and her late husband Herb, and Jeff Hughes and his wife Susan, shared in the joys and sorrows of life with her, while she fondly remembered her late sisters Lois Conner and her late husband Joe, Carol Santeusanio and her late husband Bob, and Debra Hughes. Jeanette's pride and joy were her grandchildren: Evan Morrison and his wife Karol, Quinn Morrison, Brecken Morrison, David Morrison and his wife Devashri, Caitlin Morrison, Shelby Potter, Seth Confer and his wife BeLinda and Carly Sebolt and her husband Lance. Her ten great-grandchildren, Clyde, Traevon, Mathaia, Kinlee, Ashton, Azleigh, Charlotte, Hunter, and the late Christina and Elaine, were the twinkle in her eye, and she dedicated herself to showering them with love.

A proud 1955 graduate of Northern High School in Dillsburg, Jeanette was first and foremost a loving homemaker with part-time employment at the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg, the CC Bank, and a warm presence as a coat check attendant at the Elks Club for 45 years. Her community spirit shone brightly through her roles as Judge of Elections and as a Wicker Home Party host. She welcomed all with open arms as a greeter at the State College Alliance Church and led by example as the president of the Christian Woman's Club for 46 years. Her commitment to her community was further exemplified by her 52 years of leadership with the Boalsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Her Sundays were filled with laughter and camaraderie as she played games with her dear friends, creating memories that they will cherish forever. Jeanette Mae Morrison's life was a beautiful reflection of her faith-filled spirit, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service will be held on February 23, 2026 at 11 a.m., at the State College Alliance Church with the Rev. Aaron Henning officiating, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Boalsburg Fire Hall at 1 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
