Memorial services for Deettra "Dee" Gail Spickler are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Wow Church, 100 N Washington, Ardmore OK 73401.  Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 

Memorial services in California are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Kern Agricultural Pavilion at 3300 E Belle Terrace, Bakersfield, CA 93307. 

Dee Spickler was born in Bakersfield, CA and raised near the potato sheds in Edison. She had such a love for animals since she was young. As a child and into her teenage years, she showed lambs, was a member of the FFA and rode in the Kern County Gymkhana association. In 1994 her life changed with the birth of her daughter, Sanora, and again in 1996 when she found Jason. They were married on his birthday March 8th, 1997. Later that same year she gave birth to their son, Payton.

She was a regular fixture in the classroom with both kids. Attending events like school parties, sports and even working for the Edison School District. When the kids went to Foothill High School, Dee’s old AG teacher pulled them into FFA where she became a fixture in the sheep barn for many years. Even after the kids graduated her and Jason helped with Casa Loma 4H. When Payton was playing basketball, she could be heard yelling at the refs, per coach’s que, that they needed to go back to The Foot Locker or offering to give them her glasses since they could not see clearly.

In 2021, God moved her to Ardmore, OK. And in 2022 her and Jason bought a home in Ringling, OK. They balanced time in CA for visits with grandkids and family. And in time, she started helping Jason at Wow Church. She leaves behind a loving family and extended family of people whose lives she touched. She will be missed.

Survived by Husband Jason Spickler; Daughter Sanora Brewer and Husband Lewis Brewer; Son Payton Spickler and Wife Natasha Spickler; Grandchildren Cadence, Adyson, Hanleigh, Adalynn, Kaynen & Wyatt; Brother Marvin Leist and Wife Michelle; Brother Tim Leist and Angela Leist; Mother-in-law Barbra Thomas; Many Nieces, Nephews, Best friends, 4-H kids, FFA Kids, Basketball Family, extended family, and coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, please sponsor a kid in ag or your help out at a sporting event, otherwise my goats will end up eating them!
