Proud mom of Maeve and Griffin.
Cherished daughter of Patrick and the late Patricia (nee Walsh) Griffin.
Loving sister of Mary (Philip) Hayes, Patrick Griffin, Aileen (Michael) Dukelow and Michele (Kevin) Chesniak.
Adored aunt, sister-in-law and cousin of many.
Forever missed by her sidekick Nellie the Goldendoodle.
Loyal and True friend to all.
After a long and courageous battle with cancer Deirdre "The Warrior" can rest. "She did not lose any war or battle; instead, she saved countless lives by participating in numerous cancer research trials. Her selfless contributions and fierce determination will be cherished for many years to come."
She was the proud principal of the New Lenox School District #122 Spencer Trail Kindergarten program as well as a true educator and advocate of children for 25+ years.
She will be missed more than words can express but will NEVER be forgotten.
Visitation Tuesday 3-9 p.m.
Funeral Wednesday 11:30 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL to St. Michael Church, Mass of the Resurrection at 12:30 p.m. A live stream link will be available just prior to the Mass. https://www.asimplestreaming.com/dmscott
