Delbert Bray, Jr., 63, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Delbert served in the US Army for 14 years and then worked in communications for 23 years. He loved to fish, to sing and to grill good food. He was a proud father of his two boys, but his greatest job was being granddaddy to his grandchildren. He truly cherished the time he spent with his family.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Regina Yvonne Shumate Bray; two sons, Delbert Bray III. and wife, Amanda, and Joshua Bray and wife, Anna; six grandchildren, Kara Bray, Oliver Bray, Aiden Sherwood, Lexi Bray, Justin Parnell, and Laken Morris; a brother, Ronnie Bray and wife, Anna, of Elizabethtown, KY; special sister-in-law, Mellisa Shumate; special daughter by heart, Jolina Silvertooth; and several nieces and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Ila and Delbert Bray Sr.; and two brothers, Donald Bray and Michael Bray.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
