Carolyn R. Stamp, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on October 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving sons. Born on February 24, 1947, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Alma and Roland Royal.
Throughout her life, Carolyn was a vibrant presence known for her spicy personality and outspoken nature. She touched the lives of many as a hair stylist for over 50 years, bringing beauty and joy to her clients. Her dedication to her craft mirrored her love for her family, which was evident in everything she did. Carolyn took immense pride in raising her sons, Sidney and Anthony, as well as in her grandchildren: Clifford, Lindsay, Joey, and Corey. She found her proudest accomplishments in nurturing her children and grandchildren, who deeply admired her spirit and warmth.
Carolyn treasured moments spent in her yard, tending to her beloved flowers. She had a passion for yard work and took great pleasure in transforming her outdoor space. In addition, she loved to take long naps, which provided her with restorative moments amidst her busy life. Christmas was always a special time for Carolyn, filled with memories that will be cherished by her family.
She is survived by her sons, Sidney Stamp and Anthony Stamp (Kathy); grandchildren, Clifford Stamp, Lindsay Stamp, Joey Moore, and Corey Moore; brother, Roger Royal; sister, Kathy Cluster; and her great-granchildren, Waylon, Ashlynn, Kya. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Arthur Stamp, her mother, Alma Royal, her father, Roland Royal, and her siblings: sisters Margaret and Betty, and brother John.
Family and friends are invited to honor Carolyn's life and legacy at her burial service, which will take place on October 17, 2025, at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The service will begin at 1:00 PM.
Carolyn R. Stamp will be remembered not only for her significant contributions to those she served but also for the love she shared with her family, making a lasting impact on the hearts of all who knew her.
