Delbert Harlan Pellham Sr., age 94, of Dover, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Dardanelle Regional Medical. He was born May 31, 1929, in Walnut Valley, to Charles Ezra and Minnie Inez Hickey Pellham.
Delbert's greatest pride and joy was his family. When the family was around, he was at his happiest. He loved gardening, and his gardens were well known around the community, and loved farming, he had cows, pigs, and chickens. He was an active member of North New Hope Assembly of God for many years, and a proud retiree from the Arkansas Highway department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Cora Lee Pellham; two brothers, Oscar (Lois) Pellham, Elmer (Myrtle) Pellham, seven brothers-in-law, Carroll Churchill, Harold Shields, Cletus Fay, James Arlie, Roy Dean, Troy Gene, and Billy Joe Myers; and a sister-in-law, Alta Mae Mason Davis.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, D.H. and Lori Pellham and Gary Lee and Wendy Pellham; six grandchildren, Natalie Annette Ibanez, Gary Brandon (Amber) Pellham, Chad Austin (Emily) Pellham, Matthew Cannon (Sierrah) Pellham, Sydney Ann Reed, and Jordan Simone Reed; seven great-grandchildren, Ali, Rylee, Raelynn, Kennedy, Kanaan, Henry and Rosie; two sisters, Elsie Churchill and Regenia Shields; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Ralph (Wilma) Myers, and William Leonard (Judy) Myers; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Louise Myers Rye; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at North New Hope Assembly of God, with Pastor Chris Reddell officiating. Burial will be private in Pollard Cemetery in Dover, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers are Chad and Cannon Pellham, Tommy Barkley, Billy Churchill, Jack Boxnick and Jerry Hankins.
Honorary pallbearers are Finis Harmon, Vesper Dotson, Billy Cain, Joe Deavours, and Jack Freeman.
