Funeral service for Delbert Le’Roy Taylor, 81 of Guy will be at 9 AM on December 2, 2025, at St Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church of Damon, 603 Mulcahy Ave., Damon, Texas 77430. Burial will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 5p to 6p at C T Baker & Sons Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Delbert was born on March 27, 1944 in Webster, South Dakota to his parents Charles Taylor and Delphine Loomis Taylor and passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on November 18, 2025.
He was born and raised in South Dakota where he attended public school and graduated. Delbert was a star athlete and very intelligent. After graduating he served his country by joining the United States Air Force where he served for many years. He furthered his education and was gainfully employed as a Computer Engineer.
Delbert was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and carpentry. His favorite sport was football and his favorite team was anyone who would oppose the Dallas Cowboys. His kind and gentle spirit will always be remembered in the hearts of those that loved him.
Left to cherish precious memories are his wife of over fifty years, Janice Rae Taylor of Damon; two sons, Delbert “Brian” Taylor (Casey) and Jason Charles Taylor (Unrhea); one daughter, Angela Renee Proveaux (Anthony Marc); three grandsons, Tristan Taylor, Adrian Proveaux and Cameron Johnson; one granddaughter, Teagan Taylor; one nephew, William Charles Winn, III as well as other relatives and friends.
