Deleno "Del" Marcantel Obituary
EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts the family of Deleno “Del” Marcantel announces his passing on Friday, July 7, 2023, in the comfort of his home at the age 76. Deleno’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Turner officiating.
Deleno, known as Del to all, was born in Kinder, LA on June 29, 1947, to the late Curdy and Clarice Figurant Marcantel. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was the CEO and co-founder of Full-Service Maintenance in Eunice. He enjoyed being outside and loved to fish and tend to his chickens and garden.
Del was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by his wife of fifty-four years, Linda Marcantel of Eunice; his son, Thomas Marcantel of Woodworth; his daughters, Rachel Marcantel of Eunice and Susan Marcantel of Mamou; his sisters, Curline Matt of Morgan City and Cathy Moore and husband, John of Lafayette; his canine companion, Miley; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mechelle Marcantel Fontenot; four brothers and two sisters.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 11:00 am until time of services.
