Delfina Ochoa Urias, 102 -just weeks shy of her 103rd birthday was gently called to her eternal resting place by the Lord. She was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and enduring love. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in family, devotion, and unwavering trust in God's plan.

Born in Terlingua, Texas, Delfina was the oldest daughter of Isidora Grado and Alfredo Urias. From an early age, she carried responsibility with grace, a trait that would define her life. She married the love of her life Arcadio Ochoa on Dec. 8, 1948. She later made her home in Fort Stockton, Texas, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Delfina is survived by her oldest daughter Guadalupe Ynostroza (Armando) and Elsa Estrada, and their families as she poured her heart into her role as grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the beloved grandmother of Criselda Aguirre (Charlie), Adelmira Ynostroza, Beatrice Estrada, Patricia Elena Saenz (Oscar), and Sara Estrada, among her twelve cherished great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. To each of them, she was a steady presence-loving, prayerful, and strong. She was truly the backbone of the family, a source of wisdom and comfort whose strength carried generations.

Her love was often expressed through her hands-tending her garden with patience and care and preparing meals that became family favorites and lifelong memories. Her kitchen was a place of nourishment not just for the body, but for the soul, filled with great conversations, warmth, tradition, and love.

A faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delfina lived her faith daily. She trusted deeply in God, turning to prayer in times of joy and hardship alike. Her life was a quiet testimony to perseverance, humility, and grace.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arcadio Ochoa. After 26 years apart, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once more-together again in eternal peace, embraced by God's promise of everlasting life. By her sister Maria Ochoa.

She is survived by her sisters Socorro Cervantes, Paula Alvidrez, Juana Altamirano, one brother, Alfredo Urias & many nephews & nieces who she adored.

Though her absence is deeply felt, Delfina's legacy lives on in the faith she modeled, the family she strengthened, and the love she so freely gave. "Well done, good and faithful servant... enter into the joy of your Lord." (Matthew 25:23)

May Delfina Ochoa Urias rest in the peace of Christ, and may her memory continue to bless all who were privileged to know and love her.

Delfina's family would like to thank Focused Care Rehab Center staff that card for mom in Fort Stockton, and a special thanks to Crishna from Interim Hospice.
