Delia Morales Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 13, 2024.
Delia Carrasco Morales (Miss Dee) was ninety-six years old from El Paso, Texas. She sadly left us on Saturday, August 11, 2024.
Delia is preceded in death by her sisters: Ester Garcia, Avelina Olivas, Julia Granado, and her two brothers Urbano Carrasco and Adolfo Carrasco. Delia Morales was born on June 17, 1928 in Valentine, Texas to Magdalena Carrasco.
Delia went to Cosmetology College and fulfilled her dreams by owning her own beauty shop in Van Horn, Texas. On her later years she moved to El Paso where she furthered her education by attending El Paso Community College and taking business courses.
After several years in El Paso she moved to the Bay area in California and worked as a senior counselor and a home care provider to the elderly. After many years she moved back to El Paso, Texas.
Her passion was traveling and focusing on her Christian religion and on her faith in Christ. She was very giving to her Christian denomination. She was the joy and laughter of her get togethers with her friends and family. During her later years her favorite pastime was reading Christian books, magazines, doing word search, and playing bingo at the nursing home.
We will always carry her in our memories and in our hearts forever as a loving, caring, and religious person.

Rest in Peace Prima. I´ll never forget how happy you always were & always smiling. I never forgot you. Your hearty laughter was something else. I´m so glad that you spent time with us while attending Beauty College in Odessa. You and Mami had the best time ever with family memories, both of you laughing so hard! Love you forever.

Many special moments, the stories about when she was in California and sharing about her siblings. She had a huge hearty laughter and twinkling eyes. She was always laughing and always happy. She lived in our home while she attended Cosmetology College. She was a beautiful soul and we loved her very much.

Sweet Delia, she was still so very beautiful! My name is Grace Deanda, I am her second cousin, my Mom, Lucia Deanda Ortiz was her first cousin. I remember her coming to visit my Mom quite often in Odessa, Texas. She and my Mom would laugh a lot and never ran out of things to say. She was a gentle lady. I moved away to Austin and she moved to California and we never saw each other again, but I thought quite often of her. If I had of known she was back in Texas, I would have looked for her. It´s so wonderful to know that she was walking with the Lord. I will definitely be seeing her one day in our home in Heaven.
My condolences to all her family and to those who loved her.
