Dell Benes Obituary
Born May 14, 1962 in Flint, Michigan, Dell was the son of the late Robert A. and Virginia L. (Stevens) Benes. The family moved to the Monroe area in 1980. Dell was a 1980 graduate of Airport High School and attended Monroe County Community College.
Dell was a skilled carpenter. In addition to being self-employed, he also worked for his brother's company, Master Carpentry, from which he retired in 2017.
Dell was a proud five-year member of AA and attended meetings regularly.
Dell is survived by his son, Spencer A. Benes of Toledo and two siblings: Loren (Sheila) Benes of LaSalle, and Ann (Keith) Hammack of Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Philadelphia House in Monroe.
In keeping with Dell's wishes, cremation will be held. Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan is assisting his family with funeral arrangements.
