Della Ann Jones, age 61 years, of the Beulah Heights Community died Monday September 4, 2023 at the Baptist Health of Corbin.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 19, 1962 the daughter of Leamon and Pearlie (Rose) Ridener. Della had worked as the Human Resource Manager for Lumber King Inc. and was a member of the Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and the Messaging Operator. Canning, Shopping, going to the beach, having Sunday Dinner at her mother’s; and being with her family and especially her grandbabies were her favorite enjoyments in life.
Her father, Leamon Ridener; 2 Infant sons; brother, Bill Ridener; father and mother-in-law, Ruthel and Earma Jones; and multiple other family members precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Allen “Skip” Jones of Beulah Heights; daughter, Brooklyn Prewitt and husband, Adam of Williamsburg, Kentucky; mother, Pearlie Ridener of Sawyer; brother, Jerry Wayne Ridener (Jennifer) of Whitley City; sisters, Sharon Ridener (Garry) of Corbin and Donna Loudermilk (Kevin) of Sawyer; grandchildren, Kade Prewitt, Klay Prewitt, Khloe Ann Prewitt, and Kent Prewitt; special cousin, Steve and Karen Saylor of Ohio; multiple brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 8pm Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Staley officiating. The family will receive friends after 5pm Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery with Funeral Precession leaving funeral home at 10am Friday.
