Funeral services for Della Jean Priest, 94, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the Rosser Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carlos Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Cemetery with Kristopher Priest, Michael Priest, Malcom Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Scott Lewis, Bradley Ecord, Jonathan Priest, and Austen Ecord serving as pallbearers.
Jean Priest passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Joshua, Texas. She was born in Lancaster, Texas on October 7, 1930, to parents Ila (Lowery) and Ira Milburn Bragg.
Jean married Allan Priest on May 8, 1948, in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 67 years until his death On September 5, 2015. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allan; sisters, Rhelma Gleeson and Thelma Montgomery; brother, James "Buddy" Bragg; son, Larry Priest; daughter, Lorraine Lewis and her husband, Eddie Lewis.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Ecord and husband, Tim; daughter-in-law, Edith Priest, all of Joshua; grandchildren, Diane Rusterucci and husband, Robert, Shelly Mullins and husband, Jimmy, Kristopher Priest and wife, Jamie, Mark Lewis, Michael Priest and wife, Kristin, Malcom Lewis and wife, Laini, Brandon Ecord and wife, Stephenie, Tyler Lewis and wife, Sarah, Natasha Mota and husband, Manny, Bradley Ecord, and Scott Lewis and wife, Natasha; 19 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
