Della Sanders Obituary

Della was educated in the New York Public school system. In her teenage years, she participated in The Special Olympics for years and won several medals for Soccer, Track and Field. After Della completed her High School education she worked at McDonalds. Then she moved to Sicklerville NJ in 1999 with her mother and brother. In September of 2023 she moved to Charlotte NC. Della was a Daddys girl, she would always watch sports with her father. She loved all sports and never missed a game. Della loved R & B music, she loved all sports and hated missing any games on TV. Della enjoyed R&B music; Mary J Blige was her favorite artist. She also loved watching soap operas.
She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, beautiful smile and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family. Della was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it would light up the whole room. She cared so deeply for the people. She was so kind, funny, and passionate. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again. Della Marie Sanders leaves behind to cherish her memories: brother James Sanders III and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Family and Friends. Final resting place will be Pinelawn Memorial Park in Long Island, NY.
There will be a visitation for Della Sanders on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 6PM – 7:30 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
