He was born on March 19, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to Garland F. Sanders and Billie J. (Turnbow) Nelson.
The U.S. Marine veteran was a self-employed tile master. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and building things. David was an animal lover and he enjoyed being in the outdoors.
David is survived by a son, David Lee Sanders of Edwardsville; 3 grandchildren: Payton, Harper and Sloan; a brother, Darrell R. Sanders of Delhi, IL; a sister, Anita Smith of Pontoon Beach; 2 nephews: Dustin Justice and Russell Sanders and a niece, Holly Babb.
Besides his parents, David is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Larry W. Sanders and Kenneth Sanders.
