Della Wright Obituary
Della Ruth Jetton Wright, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, went to be with her Lord and savior on June 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Tapp Funeral Home with Bro. David Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Posey Cemetery with Danny Jennings, John Jetton, Jeremy Boyd, Philip Reed, John Weatheread, and Cody Williams serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Tapp Funeral Home.
Della was born on June 25, 1935, in Hopkins County, Texas, to Homer and Pearl Ferrell of Peerless. In April of 1956, she married the love of her life John Austin Jetton, who preceded her in death in August 15, 1969. She later married Larry Wright of Sulphur Springs, who survives her.
Della spent her career serving others, retiring from Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by, her sister, Patsy Jane Patridge; her children: Patricia and husband Joe Jennings of Birthright, Texas; John David and wife Jewel Jetton of Emblem, Texas; Randall and wife Lisa Jetton of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and Nancy and husband Zach Attaway of Como, Texas. Della was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Pearl Lee Ferrell; brothers Sedell “Red” Ferrell and Ray Ferrell; and sisters JoAnn Prince and Katherine Hooten; grandson, John Daniel Jetton and great grandson, Derrick Keyes.
Della’s legacy of love, strength, and faith lives on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
