Delmareese Quaite Obituary
At an early age, Delma accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, uniting with Zion Rock Baptist Church (Highbank Texas).
She attended elementary school in Highbank, Texas, and at the age of 16 graduated from Booker T Washington High School in Marlin, Texas. She enrolled and graduated from Prairie View A&M College in 1959 with a Bachelor Degree in Dietetics. She retired as Assistant Director of Food Service for Parkland Memorial Hospital.
She met and married James Peyton Quaite March 28, 1959. To this union two children were born. They united with and were faithful members at the Alta Mesa Park Baptist Church. She remained a dutiful, faithful and loving wife until his death.
Delma was a great cook and an avid reader. She was very proud to accomplish her dreams and goals of being a wife, mother, and an ambassador of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband (James P. Quaite), Parents, brother (John Hodge), close Aunts and Cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter Yolanda Gail Petty (Jimmy) of Sherman and a son (Jimmy) James L. Quaite, daughter-in-law Valanda D. Quaite of Dallas. 6 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, and caring friends.
