Delores Lloyd Brown of Minooka, IL was born November 26, 1954 to the late Lorraine Covington and Robert Lloyd in Chicago, IL where she was raised and educated. She lived in Chicago for many years until moving to Plainfield, IL in 2004. Delores was employed as a LPN for Cook County Jail for several years and retired from Jesse Brown VA Medical Center after many years of service.
She leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Kevin Golden; daughter, Adrienne Brown; son, Robert (Jennifer) Brown; her sister, LaDora Harrison; three grandchildren, Loren, Kyra and Kayla; four great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Nikole, Breonna and Reign, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Delores loved playing the lotto, but her true passion was being with her grandkids. She will long be remembered for her dedication to her patients and her love for family.
Visitation for Delores will be Friday October 21, 2022 from 4-8 pm at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A graveside committal tribute will take place Saturday morning, October 22, 2022 11:00 a.m. at Seward Mound Cemetery located on WIldey Rd. (1/4 mile West of Ridge Rd.) in Minooka, IL.
