Delores Cockman Coffer, 85, affectionately known as Dee, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at her residence.
A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor David Surrett.
Born on March 5, 1939, Dee filled her life with love, laughter, and cherished moments, particularly with her family, whose company she treasured most, especially during the holiday season.
Dee was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her. She had an open-door policy at her home, creating a warm haven for friends and family alike, particularly during Christmas when the spirit of togetherness was at its peak. Those who spent time with her recall her love for the beach and her enthusiasm for shopping, that often brought her joy and relaxation.
A devoted grandmother, and GG, Delores is survived by her brother, Burl Cockman and wife Diane; her grandchildren, Mike Coffer, Serena Hernandez, and Justin Coffer; and her great-grandchildren, Blake Coffer, Zachary Coffer, Patrick Hernandez, Alexa Hernandez, Darrion Coffer, and Maylin Coffer; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by her kindness and warmth. Each of whom carries forward the legacy of love that she so generously shared during her lifetime.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Branson Cockman and Pearl Parrish Cockman; her husband, Eldred Cassell Coffer; her sons, Michael Wayne Coffer and Charles Eldred Coffer.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Darren Carter and his family for being such wonderful neighbors.
Dee's spirit and the memories she created will undoubtedly continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come.
