Delores Longtin

Delores Longtin, age 91, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday April 6, 2023 at Poplar Meadows in McIntosh, MN.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with Father Bryan Kujawa officiating. Visitation will start at 10 AM and run until the time of service at the church. Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery near Oklee.
Delores Longtin was born December 29, 1931 at Plaza ND daughter of Knute and Tildy (Helle) Knutson. She grew up at Thompson, ND and later moved to Red Lake Falls with her parents where she went to High School.
She married George Longtin November 12, 1952 in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple lived in Fergus Falls, MN, and Rapid City, SD for a very short time, returning to Red Lake Falls, MN in 1954. In 1959 they moved to Oklee, MN. In 2020 Delores moved to Poplar Meadows in McIntosh, MN.
She worked at Oklee Manufacturing, Oklee Farmers Club, Arctic Cat, and The Oklee Municipal until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Anne's Society, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Thief River Falls, MN, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee.
She was a volunteer at the Oklee Senior Site for many years helping set up senior meals on her day, being a bingo caller and playing hand and foot. She also was a volunteer for the One Fund Drive in Oklee. Delores enjoyed a good game of bingo and slots, especially with her twin sister Dorothy. She traveled with her twin sister
Dorothy and they went on some great trips together, giving family members that were with them a few good chuckles. It was unbelievable how similar they were in looks and personalities throughout their lives.
Delores thoroughly enjoyed being a Grandma and great Grandma. She spoiled them every chance she got. Even with memory issues, she remembered each one and asked about them until the day she passed.
She is survived by her children Linda (Dick) McCloskey, Connie (Joel) Strom, George (Lourdes) Longtin, Joe (Kim) Longtin, Randy Longtin, David Longtin, Kathy Heden, Sue Humphrey; grandchildren Kimberly, Stacy, Tina, Kelsey, Toby, Brady,
Bobby, Cole, Jered, Troy, Christine, Katie, Ryan, Tony, Breanna, Cory, April, Adam, Ashley, Emma; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband George, granddaughters Natasha Strom and Brandi Lambert, parents Knute and Tildy; sibling Harvey, Halvor, Kermit, Jorgen, Inga, Elvina, Alice, twin sister Dorothy; son-in-law Darryl Heden; father and mother-in-law Leo and Rose Longtin.
