DELORES ODOM LOUIS

Dolores “Dee” Odom Louis departed this life at her residence on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 5:16 a.m. at the age of 94. She was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Louis, Jr. Loving mother of Wanda Earl Gauff and Roland Joseph Odom of Houston, TX. Grandmother of Jermaine Gauff, Wyndi Gauff (Shawn) Colin, Kristin Gauff (John III) Riley of Gonzales, LA, and Terranisha Odom of Houston, TX.  Daughter of the late Andrew Odom and the late Gladys Martin. Sister of the late Oris Raymond Christian and Wilfred (Oma) Odom, Sr. of Gulfport, MS. Dee is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of the Historic True Vine Baptist Church and neighboring churches, are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Historic True Vine Baptist Church, 249 Sala Avenue, Westwego, LA, on Friday, January 26, 10:00 a.m. Rev. Leander Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: McDonogh Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
