Delores Mae Siemer was born January 14, 1935, in Iowa County, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Emma (Kopf) Siemer. She married Raymond W. Nace on December 27, 1951, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Victor. The couple made their home in the Victor and Ladora areas for many years. Delores moved to the Iowa City area 8 years ago following the death of her husband, Ray in 2009. For many years, Delores was the familiar face and answered to many that would come in to the former Augustine Johnston Insurance Company in Ladora and Marengo. She was an active member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Victor and the Ladora Saddle Club. She enjoyed belonging to a square dance club, card club and bowling league over the years. She loved their acreage near Ladora which they lived for over 50 years, often referring to it as, "their little slice of heaven on earth". Delores continued the tradition of having the immaculately cared for lawn that all had come to expect even after Ray's death. But nothing was more dear to her heart than her family!

Her family includes her son and his wife, Robert and Barbara Nace; 8 grandchildren, Josiah, Joshua, Robby, Sarah, Nikki, Adam, Jenny and Jill; 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and her twin sister, Doris Siemer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, granddaughter, Meggan; and brothers, Robert, Elmer and Eldon Siemer.
