Matthew was born on December 18, 1981 in Peoria, Illinois.
Surviving are his one son, Asher M. Nace, parents, Michael E. Nace and Christine (Rivas) Nace, and one brother, Christopher M. Nace, all of Peoria, IL. He has aunts, uncles and cousins, who also survive.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents.
He was a loving son, brother and father, who was always there if you needed him. He enjoyed time with family, and time outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Private family burial of ashes will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
