Patrick Logsdon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wright & Salmon Mortuary - Peoria on Sep. 23, 2025.

We are heartbroken to share that our brother, Patrick (Pat) Thomas Logsdon, 69, passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born October 7, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois, and grew up in East Peoria. He was a 1974 graduate of Spalding Institute of Peoria, where he was a standout athlete on the cross country, track, and wrestling teams. He later received associate degrees from Illinois Central College and DeVry University. He spent much of his career in the manufacturing industry.

Pat's enthusiasm was infectious, whether cheering on the Chicago Cubs or belting out an Eagles song. His quick wit and love of corny jokes were legendary. He never missed a chance to make someone smile, even if it meant groans before laughter.

He is survived by his girlfriend and companion Carolyn Barclay and her family; his two children, Joseph Logsdon and Sara (Tony) Magee; his brothers, Jay (Laura) Logsdon, Greg (Lori) Logsdon, Brad (Trish) Logsdon; sisters Sue (Jim) Giacobazzi and Peggy Logsdon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Therese (Cotter) Logsdon.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude’s Catholic Church (10811 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615), with the funeral mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Father Patrick Henehan will officiate, and graveside services will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in West Peoria.

Friends and family are encouraged to log onto www.wrightandsalmon.com to sign the online guestbook, submit photos and share Pat's memorial page via social media.
