Delores Price

Delores "Pete" Price, 88, of Leesburg, went to be with the Lord, Sunday September 14, 2025 joining her beloved predeceased husband of 57 years. She was born on March 14, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Ruby and her brothers Alton and Irvin Carnes. She is survived by her loving sons, Greg and John; their spouses, Corinne and Rhonda, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Delores was born and raised in Lucketts, Loudoun County, Virginia until she married Harry and they moved to Hamilton VA. She raised her family there and made many close friends.

She was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department for many years where they enjoyed attending dances and the friendships they created through the years.

Her last 8 years were spent at Meadow Glen Assisted Living Facility in Leesburg Virginia where she enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. Through those years the staff became her second family. The family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Glen for the care they provided for Pete in her last years.

A note was left for her two sons before her passing said saying "Please don't grieve for me, I've had a good life and I am ready to go be with your Dad".

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. at Hall Funeral Home, Purcellville, VA. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Meadow Glen Activity Fund for the residents. These contributions go directly toward enhancing the residents' quality of life through meaningful and enjoyable activities. Delores was a devoted Bingo player during her time at Meadow Glen, and we will honor her memory by continuing that legacy.
