Gary Wayne Maggard, 76, passed away at his home in Round Hill, VA on September 3, 2025. He was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to Ervin Maggard and Lovina Sturgill on April 14, 1949.

Gary served in the military armed forces after graduating from Stow High School in Stow, OH in 1967. He was a carpenter by trade. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Isaac Walton and Loudoun Bowhunters.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Susan Linden Bridge Maggard, son Denny Maggard, son Eric Maggard, son Josh Maggard, and daughter Amanda Maggard; seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and one sister Ervina Sturgill.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 9, 2025 from 2pm-4pm at Hall's Funeral Home in Purcellville, VA. A reception for friends and family will be held following visitation at Gary's home in Round Hill.
