With heavy hearts but joyful memories, we announce the passing of Delores "Ruby" Stadelman, who left us on January 24, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on August 1, 1947, in Cambridge, OH, she was the daughter of the late Dean Ferguson and Leona Katherine (Hughes) Rommes. Ruby graced this world with her vibrant spirit and compassionate heart. She was raised in Hookstown, PA and in 1983, moved to Garrett County, where she made countless cherished memories with family and friends.
Ruby passionately dedicated her life to inspiring, cooking, and baking for those around her. Ruby loved to cheer for her Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, Alabama, and WVU. Her infectious laughter, food, and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
Ruby is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Stadelman, who will forever carry her love in his heart, and a step-son, Paul Stadelman, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, Chrissy Marucci and husband Regis of Oakland, Bobbi Lorello of Weirton, WV, Megan Stadelman, and Morgan Sell and husband Rob; great niece and great nephews, Bailey Lorello, Rocco and Enzo Marucci; her sister, Debra Bracken and husband Ed; brothers in law, Mark Stadelman and wife Judy, William Stadelman, and Jim Shreve; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Each of them will honor her legacy of kindness, strength, and laughter in their own unique ways. She was everyone's "Aunt Ruby" and was lovingly referred to as the "Garrett County Welcome Wagon."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deana Shreve; sister in law, Regina Stadelman; and brother in law, Jackie Stadelman.
In celebration of Ruby's life, friends will be received at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home P.A. 21 North Second Street on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM, at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Dave Helton officiating. To honor her wishes she will be cremated and laid to rest at Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
Ruby leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and generosity that will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. We celebrate her life and the bright light she was in this world. Rest in peace, dear Ruby; you will be forever missed but never forgotten.
