Mrs. Thomas was a native and life-long resident of Tampa, Florida for 87 years. She attended Don Thompson High School. Delores was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, and aunt. She was a dedicated Christian that loved the Lord, life, and her family. She remained a devoted member of her church until she was called home to be with her heavenly father.
Mother Thomas was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie Thomas; beloved parents, Mack Glen and Mary Bryant (Weetie); stepfather, Deacon Leo Bryant; grandparents: Walter and Mary Tucker; sister, Rudean Lindsay; stepsisters: Frances Williams and Barbara Radcliffe; sons: Ronald Thomas and James Hightower; grandchildren: Robert and Robin Thomas; nephews: David Woodard and John Williams Jr; step grandson, Talmage Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories five children: Wayne Thomas Sr., Wendell Thomas (Dorothy), Robert Thomas (Pamela), Darryl Sims and Ricky Jackson (Nicole); brother, William Avant; stepsister, Betty Dixon; grandchildren: Shawanda Rogers (Jermaine), Wayne Thomas Jr., Roniece Smith (Riccardo), Ronald Thomas (Latrecia), Shaniqua Thomas, Juan Gamble (Asia), Cedrick Hightower, Vachell Sims (Cheena), Darrylyn Sims, Robert Thomas Jr., Azaria Sims, Aleesa Sims; step granddaughter, Hanna Thomas; step grandson, Kenyuna Williams; 25 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren; nieces: Tonya Wilson (Tangela), Sharon Mitchner, Dameka Vickers (Jimmy), Lisa Whitley, Gloria Pendleton (Earl), Janet Radcliffe, Almeta Butler, Sylvia and Debra Barr; nephews: Clarence Williams (Terry) and Ronnie Wilson (Dana); godsisters: Gwendolyn Campbell and Venda Ray Johnson as well as a host of extended family and friends. Special thank you to Taniesha Thompson.
The family will receive friends, Friday, October 1st from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Exciting Faith Alive.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICES.
