Delores Yell Obituary
Delores' love for competition, stemming from her youthful softball days, continued throughout her life as she hosted countless fun-filled game gatherings with family and friends, creating many cherished memories for all. Delores along with her husband, Doyle, co-founded Yell Concrete and Masonry, a business integral to the development of many residential and key commercial projects in Mohave County.
Upon retirement Delores and Doyle enjoyed traveling. One of her most cherished memories was fulfilling her dream of visiting Israel where she experienced the honor of being baptized in the Jordan River.
Delores was a beloved wife to her childhood sweetheart, Doyle Yell, with whom she shared a blessed 72 years of marriage. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her surviving family: daughters - Landreth Brotherton (Doug) and Debbi Mier (JR), grandchildren - Alyssa Scherrer (Jason), Jason Brotherton (Kim), Heather Marek (Danny), Tyrell Mier (Emily), Joseph Yell (Erika), Jamie Yell, and great grandchildren - Dusten, Kyle and Brenden Pruitt, Tanner and Blake Gesser (Nikki), Hayden Dorsett, and Remi Mier.
She also leaves behind a host of beloved cousins, friends and an incredibly loving and supportive family in Christ. Delores was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Yell, her son James Yell, her parents Homer and Martha Cook, and her brother Ronald Cook.
Delores firmly believed in everlasting life and was looking forward to joining her family members in heaven. We ask you to celebrate with us this day, a life well lived as she has joyfully been reunited with her loved ones passed.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingman Family Worship Center - 4071 Eagle Dr. Kingman, AZ
