Deloris Alexander

Deloris Alexander of Milwaukee, Wisconsin died on November 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Deloris was born on June 29, 1959, in Milwaukee to Vernon G. Copeland (Mushin Virginia) and Etta Mae Garrett (Rasheedah Salaam). Deloris married Cleo Alexander in 1988, and she spent many years working in retail, devoted to providing for her family. Deloris will be remembered for her strength and her unwavering dedication to the family she adored. She found joy in music, cooking, long conversations about history and UFOs, caring for her grandchildren, and hosting gatherings that brought everyone together to celebrate cherished memories. Deloris is survived by her mother, Rasheedah Salaam; her sister, Sandra Copeland; and her brother, Stanley Copeland. She leaves behind her son, Hakim (Melissa) Salaam, and her daughter, Alexis Alexander. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Jeshon Alexander, Alerris Alexander, Alerra Alexander, Adora Alexander, Jaida Salaam, Pharaoh Laster, and Avayah Salaam. Deloris is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Azai Alexander, Naomi Moore, Chanqual Adams, Jr., and Ja'Niyah Alexander. Deloris was preceded in death by her father, Mushin Virginia; her daughter, Niyah Alexander; her son Brent Copeland and her granddaughter, Taylor Salaam.
