Deloris Guire Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hostetler Funeral Home on Aug. 8, 2025.
Deloris Ann Kirkpatrick Guire, 71, a resident of Mabie, passed from this life Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

Deloris was born Friday, May 7, 1954, in Richmond, VA, a daughter of the late Raymond Glen Kirkpatrick and Madeline Harper Kirkpatrick. On January 5, 1973, in St. Patrick's Church in Coalton, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Guire II who survives at home. They celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. Many people commented that their love seemed magical; like a fairy tale.

Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Christy Jackson and husband Mike, Thomas "Tommy" Guire and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Gabriel Guire and wife Neisha, Thomas "TJ" Guire, Lilly Bradberry, Olivia Guire, Christopher Bradberry, Gracie Holley, Jimmy Cummins, Liam Jackson, MacKenzie Guire, great-granddaughter, Nylah Ann Guire, siblings, Jeff Kirkpatrick and wife Elaine, Donna Haddix and husband Dwight, and a special fur baby, Jack.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one daughter, Michelle L. Cummins, and one brother, Glen Allen "Zyke" Kirkpatrick, and sister-in-law, Linda Kirkpatrick.

Deloris was a graduate of Elkins High School. She had been employed at Walmart for many years and then at Camden Creek for several years. Deloris enjoyed crafting and cooking. Above all, she loved time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren; her grandkids were her world.

Deloris is Catholic by faith and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Coalton.

Deloris' request for cremation was honored and interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Kingsville.
