Deloris Cooper Light, born on November 4, 1960, passed away on February 16, 2026, in the Wynnville Community of Altoona, Alabama. A beloved member of her community, Deloris will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Deloris was a passionate individual, with a gentle soul and a zest for life. She found joy in the simple pleasures such as sitting on her porch swing, relishing the tranquility of nature. An ardent animal lover, Deloris was known for her compassion towards all creatures and often enjoyed spending her days fishing and exploring the river. Her enthusiasm for the Alabama Crimson Tide was also well-known; she was a dedicated fan, proudly supporting her team in every game.
Deloris is survived by her son, Adam Tucker (Julie); her sisters, Donna K. Woodall and Sherry Miller; as well as her grandchild, Hadley Tucker. Their lives were enriched by her kindness and unwavering support.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Light; her father, J.D. Cooper; her mother, Doris Glover Cooper; and her brothers, Donald and Ronald Cooper. Deloris's legacy will live on through her family and the memories shared by those who loved her.
