Deloris Longerbeam Obituary
Deloris was born June 13, 1945, in Charles Town, West Virginia, to Hursell Hardy and Thelma Nicewarner Hardy. She was married to Calvin Longerbeam. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2001.
Survivors include her children, Robin Rogers, Susan Dennison, Calvin Ray Longerbeam, Brian Longerbeam, sisters, Virginia Adessa, Laveania Hamilton, Ruth Johnson, Thelma Wilt, grandchildren, Raymond, Michael, Heather, Ryan, Chris, good friend, Jennifer Foster, numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Melvin Hardy, Charles Hardy, Benjamin Hardy, Evan Jacobson, sister, Mary Hardy and son, Joseph Longerbeam.
Deloris cherished long phone calls with her sister, sharing laughter and memories. In her quiet moments, Deloris enjoyed working on crossword puzzles or playing a lively game of Yahtzee with family and friends.
She cared deeply for her children and always made sure they were well-loved. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, her chili and fried chicken were family favorites. She appreciated life's small comforts - a good cup of coffee, a favorite TV show like Blue Bloods, The Rifleman, or Deal or No Deal, and her collection of cherished keepsakes that reflected her thoughtful spirit. She also enjoyed gardening.
Deloris' kindness, humor, and gentle heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held on on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, 2938 Charles Town Road, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service at the funeral home.
