Deloris was born to George and Letha Minnick on April 29, 1941 in Pampa, Texas, where she spent much of her life surrounded by family and community. On April 29, 1963, she married the love of her life, Henry Morris, in Pampa. She was a devoted member of Hobart Street Baptist Church and lived her faith through service to others. Deloris knew Jesus, and her relationship with Him guided the way she loved, served, and cared for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Morris; her special friend, Kenneth Roney; her twin brother, Dewain Minnick; her sister, Juanita Wagner; and her two other brothers, Junior Minnick and Donnie Minnick.
Deloris is survived by her beloved daughter, Debra Cantrell and husband; her granddaughter, Tasha Tripplett; and her great-grandson, Rylan Henderson, who brought her great joy.
Deloris had a deep love for bluegrass music and enjoyed attending festivals whenever she could. She cherished traveling with her daughter and granddaughter, especially trips to the mountains where she loved fishing and spending time in nature. She also treasured time spent at her lake house in Oklahoma, where she enjoyed volunteering her time as a gatekeeper, always happy to help and serve others. Above all, Deloris was known for putting others’ needs before her own. She ever so loved and cherished her great grandson, Rylan. She was a natural caregiver, she gave selflessly, loved deeply, and touched many lives through her kindness and compassion.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A special thanks to the staff at Pampa Nursing Center for their love, care, and compassion shown to Deloris.
