Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend Delphain Cannon, peacefully passed from this life early Thursday morning, September 29th, 2005 with her loving family at her side at the Long Term Care Unit of Indian Valley Health Care District. Del was eighty four years old, and her lifetime courage and strength prevailed into her final hours. Del was born February 28th, 1921 to the late Emmet Finnerty and Helen Hollingsworth in San Francisco, California. She spent most of her life residing in Oroville and Greenville, CA where her mother owned and operated the Hot Springs, a place Del grew to love and hoped someday it would become a special place of healing for the sick. Del entered the cosmetology field in her early adulthood and later became a CNA and Respiratory Therapist working last alongside her daughter Jessica. Del is survived by her two sons; Richard Wright of Greenville, CA and Corey Wright of Oroville, CA, daughter and son-in-laws; Helen Sue and Don Housen of Greenville, CA, Kit and Speedy McWilliams of Oroville, CA, Jessica and John Papenhausen of Greenville, CA, Shaye and Kevin Kent of Greenville along with daughter Tamara H. Talent of Greenville, CA, sister; Troy Wainscolt of Santa Cruz, CA, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law Steve Talent. Her spirit will live on and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Following cremation at Fehrman Crematory located in Quincy, CA a private family scattering service will take place at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge at a later date. An opportunity to express your condolences to the family along with signing the memorial guest register is available online at www.fehrmanmortuary.com. The family suggests any remembrances in Del's memory be made to the Long Term Care Unit of the Indian Valley Health Care District, her home and a place where they so gracefully cared for her in the last year of her life, c/o Fehrman Mortuary and Crematory P.O.
