Delphine “Muna” Ford, age 79, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 in Niles, Michigan. Born March 24, 1946 Delphine, affectionately known as" Muna", was a woman whose warmth & attentiveness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. If you met her more than once, she likely remembered your story. Her genuine care and thoughtfulness were evident in every conversation and gesture.
Delphine was the beloved mother of Dana (Wayne) Hankins & Darin (Jodi) Ford; grandmother of Brittney (Casey), Brooke (Dave), Tyler (Samantha), Austin (RaeLyn) ,Tricia, Lyndsay and Kimberlee; great grandmother to Madison, Sophie, Elijah, Judah, Vada, Caiden, Evelyn, Lydia, Lane, Riley, Ali, Josh and Will. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, including Star Bush and Annie Pierce. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Payne; mother, Louise Pierce; and nephew, Arthur Payne.
Delphine's life was marked by quiet acts of kindness. Every year without fail she sent birthday cards with a special note. This tradition became treasured reminders of her enduring love. In honor of Delphine's memory and generous spirit, the family encourages others to follow her example and send flowers or a handwritten card to someone you love. Let them know they matter-just as she always did.
