Delphine Diane Gallagher (Warehall), 82, of Washington Township, MI died on November 14, 2025 in Rochester, MI. She was born April 20, 1943 to Michael and Sophie (Lipa) Warehall in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up on Detroit's East Side with her extended Polish family of many aunts and uncles and over 40 cousins. She worshiped with her family at St Anthony Catholic Church and attended St Anthony Catholic school from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1961. She was a 1965 graduate of Marygrove College, majoring in English with a minor in Political Science. She went on to complete her Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Saginaw Valley State University. Delphine spent the majority of her career as an elementary school teacher in the Warren Consolidated School District from 1967 to 2013. 

Delphine enjoyed reading, spending time with friends, but most of all loved working in her gardens. She was also an animal lover who gave a home to many dogs, cats, and horses throughout her life and made charitable donations to several animal rescue organizations.

She was a devout Catholic who prayed the rosary daily and, was a a longtime parishioner at SS. John and Paul Catholic Parish and frequented the Capuchin Retreat Center. In retirement she was an avid volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis, sister Geraldine, brother Richard Warehall and her husband of 24 years John Gallagher. She is survived by her two children Kathleen (Edward Hill) Gallagher of Grosse Pointe Farms and Daniel Gallagher of Washington Township. She was known as Mimi to her two grandchildren Nathan and Sophie Hill.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22 at 10am at Saints John and Paul Parish at 7777 28 Mile Rd Washington, MI 48094 with in-state visitation preceding at 9:15am.

Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Macomb.
