Thomas Charles Schuch of Lenox Township went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 15, 1942, Tom lived a life marked by love, hard work, and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Margo, with whom he joyfully celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past October. He leaves behind his children Julie (Dean), Jeff (Kim), Shannon (Joel), Mary Beth, and Katie; grandchildren Erin (Gary), Griffin, Gavin, Maeve, Colin, Cody, Carly, Morgan, Zachary, and Matthew (Aubrey); great-grandchildren Grayson and Shepard; his sister Diane Starkey and brother Charles Schuch Jr.; and many loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful dog, Willow. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lorena Schuch.
Tom took great pride in concluding his career at Ford Motor Company, where he enjoyed driving cars on the test track. At home, he found joy in caring for his acreage, riding his tractor, playing cards, and spending time with his grandkids. Summers were especially meaningful, spent in Glen Arbor with family, and he cherished many trips to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A proud Army veteran, Tom carried his service with honor throughout his life.
He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washington, Michigan. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
