Barbara Jean Schuch

Barbara J (Ball) Schuch, 85, of Chattanooga died Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 13, 1940, to the late Clyde and Christine (Rains) Ball.

Barbara graduated from Tyner High in 1958. She was a long time resident of East Brainerd and was a professional dog groomer for most of her life. She enjoyed bowling and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She also did volunteer work many years for St. Judes.

Barbara is preceded in death by her sister, Susan (Ball) Harden.

She is survived by her sister, Robbie (Bob) Gower, children, Babbi Schuch, Ted Schuch, Barry (Cristy) Schuch &Carrie Schuch Porter. Grandchildren, Scott (Amelia) Schaft, Brett (William Otega Rodriguez) Schaft, Cole Porter, Angela Schuch, Jessica (Issac) Robison, Tyler (Jodie) Schuch, Savannah (Ken) Olson, Logan Schuch, Calissa Porter, Caelie Porter and many great grandchildren.

Barbara's Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, TN following the service.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday evening prior to service at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel.
