Lawrence E. Welch Jr.

Lawrence E. Welch, Jr., age 70, a lifelong resident of Romeo, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at his home in Romeo. Lawrence was born June 12, 1955 in Mount Clemens, the son of Lawrence E. Sr, and Beatrice (Parkin) Welch. Lawrence attended Romeo Schools. After high school, he got a job in the automotive industry where he worked until retirement.

Lawrence enjoyed coffee, fishing, hunting, and the sounds of nature, especially as his place in Gladwin. Lawrence was also a big follower of Lions Football. In life, He always made himself available.

Lawrence is survived by his children, Robert Welch of Clarkston, Billy Welch of Romeo, Tim Welch of Canton, and Allison (Edward) Ortiz of Romeo, grandchildren, Alex Welch, Ashley Welch, Madison Welch, Brittany Wildermuth, Kane Wildermuth, Jala St. John, Tristan Liam Welch, Dalilah Seraphim, Levi Samuel Welch, and Bennett Aziel Welch; as well as great-grandchildren Ari Walk and Reya Sargarent. He was preceded in death by both Parents and his younger sister Carrie Lynn Trowbridge (Welch).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home 11280 32 Mile Road Romeo Michigan 48065. Burial will held on Friday, November 14, 2025, 10:00AM at the Romeo Cemetery.
