Stephen W. Sobanski

Stephen W. Sobanski, age 69, a resident of Washington, Michigan, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 in Lapeer. Stephen was born January 3, 1956, in Hamtramck, the son of Benjamin W. and Irene C. (Dziurlikowski) Sobanski.

Stephen married Margaret E. Sobanski (Northey) at St. Joseph’s of Detroit on July 18th, 1981. He worked as a Telecommunications Manager for Sears Holdings and Ameritech and was a former State Police Officer.

Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family, grandkids, nieces and nephews and creating lifelong memories. He loved working with all forms of technology, especially phone systems.

A beloved Husband, Father and Papa, Stephen is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Sobanski, his children, Benjamin E. (and wife Nicole L.), Michael T., Kaylee I. and his grandkids Abigail R. and Carter L. and all of his loving nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by Michael Sobanski and surviving brother is Richard Sobanski and his wife Char Sobanski.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 1-7 pm with a memory share beginning at 6pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at St. Clement Catholic Church (343 S Main St, Romeo, MI. 48065). Mass beginning at 10am
