Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend had been fighting her illness since 2016: she lost her battle on October 12, 2024 at the age of 66 years. Delphyne was born April 13, 1958 in
Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Jessie Mae (Mincy) Bradford and Roland (Pete) Bradford.
She was a loving and devoted wife, to her husband Daryl Pippins of 31 years and mother to her children. After the passing of her oldest daughter Davida Bradford, Delphyne and Daryl took pride raising their grandchildren; Johnathan Huntley, Lathan Simon and Xavier Bradford. Delphyne prayed for her family daily and was a member of Community Temple Church of God in Christ. Delphyne loved hosting family gatherings so everyone could come together and love on each other. She loved to shop and also loved playing her blues CDs as loud as she could. She enjoyed spending time with her special dog, "Dino". Delphyne graduated from Buena Vista High School Class of 1976. On September 29, 1980 she began her career at Saginaw Community Hospital (Healthsource) of Saginaw for 30 years.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving family, her devoted husband, Daryl Pippins; daughters, Michelle Bradford, Devin Bradford and Daryelle Pippins; grandchildren, Johnathan Huntley, Lathan Simon, Xavier Bradford, Christopher and Kelis Townsend, Cameron Hayes, Jamika Donald, Allen, Amir and Aiden Clemons; sons, Mancini and Joelon Watkins; nephews and nieces, Michael Welch, Monica Marie Swain, Roger, Mitchell, Krystal, Mathew and Jessica Swain; daughters, Cynthia Temple, Melanie and Shanieka Terrell of
Saginaw, MI and Tamara Watkins, Youngstown, OH; sister, Monica K. Swain (Eddie Smith), Saginaw; brother, Kenneth Bradford (Ulysses Tyler), Cleveland, OH, Sarah Maxwell, Rickey (Maxine) Pippins, Miron (Jackie) Pippins and Mae Pippins, Terry Banks and Sally Thomas; special cousin, Laron (Evelyn) Atkins and Alice Windmon; childhood close friend and sisters, Renail Gordon and Gina Ford-Copeland.
Mrs. Delphyne Kay Pippins was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Mae Bradford and Roland (Pete) Bradford; sibling, Michael Swain; loving daughter, Davida Bradford; niece, Tiffany Ferguson; special nephew, Robert Rogers and her beloved dog, "Jack".
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Hafeez Wasif and the staff at Davita of Burton who became family. A special thanks to Bonnie, you went the extra mile at every step and the care and concern you've shown effortlessly, the late phone calls and guiding us every step. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave.,
Saginaw, MI 48607. Dr. Shakaris U. Bennett will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave.,
Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place on Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
