Delroy Kirkpatrick Foster
"Muscle"
Delroy was born on December 25, 1976 in Dundee, Maroon Town, Saint James, Jamaica, to Hyacinth Scott-Foster and Derrick Foster. He attended Maldon Basic School, Chatsworth All Age School, and Maldon High School, where he earned a certificate in culinary arts.
After completing his education, Delroy gained valuable experience as a chef in hotels and restaurants. He then expanded his horizons by working on cruise lines, which set the stage for his migration to the United States in 2000. Initially settling in New York, he later moved to Pennsylvania, where he embraced the opportunity to become self-employed. Delroy established himself in the construction industry and earned the nickname "the Plaster King" for his exceptional skills.
Deloy had a genuine passion for culinary arts, construction, and music. He had a commanding personality; however, those close to him described him as kindhearted and selfless, and he was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a distinctive laugh and a way of moving his head. His cheerful disposition was contagious; he always wore a genuine smile that illuminated the room and made everyone feel at ease. Time spent with family and friends was his greatest treasure, as he created lasting memories through laughter, shared stories, and encouragement.
In recent years, Delroy was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH), a rare hematological disorder characterized by the breakdown of red blood cells caused by an abnormal immune response. Throughout his medical journey, he has undergone various phases of treatment corresponding to the progressive deterioration of his immune system, which ultimately rendered him susceptible to infections.
Sadly, Delroy passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit, surrounded by his family.
Delroy is survived by his mother, Hyacinth; father, Derrick; his sisters, Dawnett, Cava, and Kedesia; his brother, Orel; other siblings; his grandmother, Miriam; nieces, nephews, grandniece, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Delroy, affectionately known as "Muscle," will be deeply missed and will forever remain in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace.
